Arguably the best known, most popular and most successful British racehorse, at a distance of 2 miles, in flat racing in the nineties. One of my all time favourites on the track. He was trained at Middleham by Mark Johnson. Tough and consistent, he won 3 Doncaster Cups, 3 Goodwood Cups, 2 Sagaro Stakes, 2 Henry VII Stakes, the Italian St. Leger and an Ascot Gold Cup.
