WORD PERFECT

To any devotee of eventing, this horse needs no introduction. A truly handsome individual with personality to burn.

He is without argument one of the best event horses of the last decade. Brought through the ranks from novice status to 4* by Christopher Bartle, he is one of the handful of horses to make the Badminton fences look small!
He won Thirlestane Castle Open Championships, was in the Gold winning team at the European Championships at Burghley and won Badminton, along with a host of other placings at top level. He does have some quirks however.

He hates photographers with a vengeance and is therefore difficult to get a shot of. I was photographing him the morning after he had won at Thirlestane, and he had obviously had his fill of cameras the previous day!

All credit therefore to his groom, Alison, for managing to keep him sweet enough for my pictures. He also pulls the most wicked faces in his stable trying to frighten the visitors. Can I just say it works!
